It is uplifting to see more and more women protagonists in the world of design and creativity. But what’s especially refreshing is when women’s stories are told by women—women authors, songwriters, screenwriters, directors, journalists, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, poets, coders (yes, coders are storytellers too), and so on.
Why is that important? Well for starters, it means the inclusion of more women in roles that are often dominated by men. But equally important is the fact that the music we listen to, the books we read, the apps we use, the television shows and movies we watch, the news publications we subscribe to, and the photos and art we see can affect the way we perceive the world and the people around us.
When women control the narrative surrounding our lives and experiences, we are empowered to positively influence society’s perception of women, and how women are treated as a result.
So as we look to continue to push forward women around the world whose creativity pushes boundaries, challenges the status quo, and flies in the face of anyone who has ever doubted the strength, ability, or intellect of a woman, with the support of Roca we've compiled a list of phenomenal women creators shedding light on important issues and working to make the world a better place.

This year, we have created the Roca Barcelona Gallery Room where OFFF and Roca will present Women in Creativity at OFFF 2021, a program with the stories of six incredible artists narrated by themselves.
They’re divergent thinkers, their work benefits from social interaction, they thrive in collaborative settings.
Visit the Roca Barcelona Gallery room and learn more about each artist from May 3rd to 8th. The content will remain permanent from the opening of the virtual world at 12h until 21h.
About Roca Gallery
In 2010, Roca created the Roca Gallery project as a meeting point and constant dialogue with society as a whole and, particularly, with those professionals with whom it shares a concern and interest in innovation in bathroom spaces.
This objective was expressed through physical spaces located in unique buildings in cities such as London, Shanghai, Beijing, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon. These spaces, open to the public at large, host exhibitions, debates, presentations and other events that, together with the display of Roca's latest innovations, convey the essence of the brand and its values of design, innovation, sustainability and wellbeing.
The online platform expands the vision of the project, as a virtual space for the exchange of knowledge that compiles news and reports on current trends in architecture and design. With the collaboration of more than 160 international professionals, rocagallery.com aims to be a space in which to learn, create opinion and share knowledge about architecture, design, innovation and sustainability.
Roca is a company dedicated to the design, manufacturing and marketing of products for the bathroom space, as well as ceramic floor and wall tiles for architecture, construction and interior design. The company operates in 170 countries with 84 production centers and a workforce of 24,000 professionals worldwide.
The family company is the market leader in Europe, Latin America, India and Russia. It also has a strong presence in China and the rest of Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa. Thanks to this, it is a world leader in its activity.
