It is uplifting to see more and more women protagonists in the world of design and creativity. But what’s especially refreshing is when women’s stories are told by women—women authors, songwriters, screenwriters, directors, journalists, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, poets, coders (yes, coders are storytellers too), and so on.
Why is that important? Well for starters, it means the inclusion of more women in roles that are often dominated by men. But equally important is the fact that the music we listen to, the books we read, the apps we use, the television shows and movies we watch, the news publications we subscribe to, and the photos and art we see can affect the way we perceive the world and the people around us.
When women control the narrative surrounding our lives and experiences, we are empowered to positively influence society’s perception of women, and how women are treated as a result.
So as we look to continue to push forward women around the world whose creativity pushes boundaries, challenges the status quo, and flies in the face of anyone who has ever doubted the strength, ability, or intellect of a woman, with the support of Roca we've compiled a list of phenomenal women creators shedding light on important issues and working to make the world a better place.

This year, we have created the Roca Barcelona Gallery Room where OFFF and Roca will present Women in Creativity at OFFF 2021, a program with the stories of six incredible artists narrated by themselves.
They’re divergent thinkers, their work benefits from social interaction, they thrive in collaborative settings.
Visit the Roca Barcelona Gallery room and learn more about each artist from May 3rd to 8th. The content will remain permanent from the opening of the virtual world at 12h until 21h.
About Roca Gallery
In 2010, Roca created the Roca Gallery project as a meeting point and constant dialogue with society as a whole and, particularly, with those professionals with whom it shares a concern and interest in innovation in bathroom spaces.
