2D.Pete is the name Peter Sunna works under in 3D, motion and type. 3D work often comes out of visual effects. Peter's background is in branding, so his projects tend to start with typography and the brand itself, well before anything gets rendered. He does his best work with agencies and brand teams who bring him in at the concept stage, for clients including Apple, Adobe, IBM, Okta, Volvo, Monotype and Louvre Abu Dhabi. On Instagram the same thinking runs looser, through modernist references, humor and type-led abstraction.

Peter is a Swedish-born designer based on the US East Coast. He spent more than 20 years as a graphic designer and creative director in Stockholm, London and New York. He first got into 3D while living in Lausanne, and it has been his main focus since. He still hasn't decided whether he's a brand designer who works in 3D or a 3D artist who thinks like a brand designer, and he's finally comfortable leaving that open.
