NXT

OFFF presents NXT, for the third consecutive year, a platform dedicated to showcasing the future of design and the next generation of creative talent.

This edition, NXT launches a new format: pitch sessions in which one student representative from each institution presents their project to OFFF's international audience. The goal is to give young creatives global exposure, a first professional step, and ongoing connection with the OFFF ecosystem.

The session will be divided in to blocks: 16:15-17:05 and 17:40-18:30.

AMD/ Fresenius University of Applied Arts
The graduate Sol Viscarra, 39 years old, who completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design, presents Beyond Cinema, a final project that reimagines the movie-going experience as an immersive format designed to trigger emotional engagement through principles of emotional design.

BAU, Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny de Barcelona
Nacho Hormaechea, 26 years old, who completed the Master’s Degree in Motion Graphics Design (2025), presents 90% AI, a master’s thesis that explores the limits of artificial intelligence in audiovisual creation.

BROTHER BARCELONA
The graduates María Carbonell (23 years old), Chie Sato (25 years old), and Manu Ponce de León (25 years old), who completed the Integral Creativity course at Brother Barcelona, present the project #NotWithMyType in 2026, a final project that explores the limits of typography when it comes to spreading hate speech.

CITM-UPC
Guillem Franco Garriga, 23 years old, who completed the Multimedia Bachelor’s Degree at CITM-UPC, presents the project "Art i Tecnologia en Diàleg" 2025, a Bachelor’s Thesis that explores the relationship between artistic creation and digital technology, focusing on how contemporary artists integrate tools such as generative visuals, immersive media and digital scenography into their creative processes and live performances.

Elisava, Facultad de Diseño e Ingeniería
Yi Shi Yu Ye, 23 years old, who completed the Who completed the Desing and Innovation with mention in graphic design Bachelor’s Degree, presents the project Tributo en Llamas [2025], a final project as an editorial and artistic project that explores our connection with the deceased through the reclamation of ritual, ans is Inspired by the Chinese funerary tradition of shāozhǐ (烧纸).

IDEP Barcelona
The graduate Davide Molinari, 29 years old, who completed the Graphic and Digital Design Bachelor’s Degree at Idep Barcelona, presents the project “The Gift of Obsession”, 2025, a Bachelor’s Thesis that explores how personal obsessions shape a unique visual language and creative identity through a visual system that translates users’ responses to emotional and formal questions into generative animated compositions, creating abstract portraits of their obsessions through form, rhythm, and movement.

Istituto Europeo di Design (IED)
The graduate Jaime Rose de Candole, 22 years old, who completed the Bachelor of Arts in Design with specialization in Graphic Design, at IED Barcelona, presents the project What the Trees Told Me (Academic Year 2024/2025), a Final Project data-driven sensory installation that explores the relationship between human well-being and environmental health. The project investigates a central question: Does emotional and physiological well-being mirror the health of the environment we inhabit?

LABASAD, Barcelona School of Arts & Design
The student Guillermo Ferré Mur, 38 years old, who completed the Online Master in Web and App Design: UX/UI, presents the project Vue, a Final Master's Project that is an app for autonomous navigation in physical and digital environments.

LCI Barcelona
Jaume Álvarez, 22 years old, Olivia Duffin, 24 years old, and Iris Garcia, 22 years old, who completed a bachelors degree in graphic design, present the project Mobio, 2026, a final project that proposes an intuitive digital ecosystem where the design of space, the selection of furniture, and the process of assembly converge into one seamless system.

MMi Montbéliard - IUT NFC - Université Marie & Louis Pasteur
Yaroslav Yermakov, 21 years old, who is preparing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia and Internet Professions, presents the project OFFF Visual Identity 2026, an academic project that explores a new way to present the OFFF festival by using a modular identity that adapts to each host city and draws inspiration from the foundations of graphic design - pixels and binary code.
