Codea is a creative agency willing to defy (oh wow!) convention. A convention that may be social, human, creative, graphic or hailing from traditional advertising. (Not) in a nutshell: we challenge everything that could be considered ordinary and predictable (aka boooring), we question all established models and contradict any rules along the way.

We achieve non-conventionality so the brands and organizations that come to us may stand out on their own special and original way (though everything has already been done, right?). We want those brands to ignite conversation and reaction, to make people talk about them (blablabla).

To achieve this we rely on humor (xD), radical honesty (death to all Hallmark greeting cards), meta-advertising (such as using this other voice to stress our points), exploring new languages (语 all day long), unyielding empathy (we get you <3) and tomorrow, ideally, THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF THIS.

We work on building brands and their communication (end-to-end ‘till the end), under the stern belief that we will achieve social and human relevance together. We understand that, now more than ever, brands need to carve for themselves a relevant space in contemporary culture. A presence that, furthermore, needs to be ingrained as well in people’s lives.
